Prayer

"Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." -- 1st Thessalonians 5:17-18

Prayer is an intentional and meaningful way that every individual -- no matter of age, race, or background -- can deepen his or her personal relationship with God. Prayer is not a mysterious practice reserved only for clergy and the religiously devout. Prayer is simply communicating with God - listening and talking to him. Even though God knows the future, we don’t know the future choices we will make. It’s important to live by His guidance to make the right choices.

Bishop Agee often says, "Prayer is bringing everything that you know about yourself, (your good, your bad, your ugly), and placing it before all that you know about God. He is certainly able to handle it all."

Prayer . . .

- Helps us overcome temptation
- Is crucial in determining God's will
- Accomplishes God's work
- Is a weapon of spiritual warfare

What is "Intercessory" Prayer?

Intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. The Bible is clear that all Christians are called to be intercessors. All Christians have the Holy Spirit in our hearts, and, just as He intercedes for us in accordance with God’s will (Romans 8:26-27), we are to intercede for one another. If you are in need of prayer and have a Prayer Request, please complete and submit the form below and our Intercessors will pray on your behalf.
